The Government’s broadband voucher scheme, which has been formulated to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) install superfast broadband, is being activated across the UK.
The system is already in operation in many cities with businesses receiving up to £3,000 for a faster broadband connection, usually of 30Mbit/s or more.
From April 1st the scheme has been extended throughout of Greater Manchester and includes Manchester, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Stockport, Trafford, Tameside, Rochdale, Wigan and part of Cheshire East.
The area of Liverpool has also been extended to include the full city region including Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.
The voucher can also be used for a dedicated business grade broadband service.
